L.A. Noire
As the title suggests, the game draws heavily from both plot and aesthetic elements of film noir – stylistic films from the 1940s and 1950s that shared similar visual styles and themes including crime, sex and moral ambiguity and were often shot in black and white with harsh, low-key lighting. The game uses a distinctive colouring-style in homage to the visual style of film noir. The post-war setting is the backdrop for plot elements that reference the detective films of the ’40s.

La Pucelle takes place in a kingdom named Paprica. The story centers on a small church, the Church of the Holy Maiden, in the city of Pot a Feu. In addition to the normal role of a church it has a group of trained demon hunters, La Pucelle.

Lair takes place in a world threatened by numerous emerging volcanoes, causing much of the land to be destroyed and the air to be polluted.
The story is set two decades after a cordyceps-type fungus has killed millions, with nature gradually retaking the abandoned cities and towns. The survivors are hemmed inside quarantine zones, completely under the heel of the United States military, with order and screening for any Infected being viciously maintained under martial law.
The game takes place at the same time frame as Zero and Ao no Kiseki in the Erebonian Empire. The game’s plot is centered around the newly formed special class “Class VII” in Thors Military Academy, composed of both aristocrats and normal Erebonian citizens.
Trails of Cold Steel II begins a month after the end of Trails of Cold Steel, with Rean having escaped with Valimar. He makes it to his hometown of Ymir where princess Alfin also escaped to, but she is kidnapped along with Rean’s sister Elise. The rest of class VII has scattered over the country and he goes around gathering them and other Thors students, and after being given the airship Courageous by Olivier, uses Valimar to help civilians and look for Alfin and Elise.
For many generations, the mystical land of Yenching had been inhabited by many animals, mainly cats, hares, frogs, and pandas.
Legend of Mana is set in the fictional world of Fa’Diel. The Mana Tree, the giver of mana and life for the world, burned down almost entirely nine centuries prior to the events of the game.
LittleBigPlanet is a world full of creations made by the eight Creator Curators. However, the eighth Creator, a rogue Creator called “the Collector” is stealing the other Creators’ creations and not sharing them with the world (sharing is one of the core elements of LittleBigPlanet), and later, the Creators themselves.
An inter-dimensional vacuum cleaner appears over the skies of LittleBigPlanet and begins to suck up its inhabitants, including Sackboy. Larry Da Vinci, the leader of a semi-secret semi-organised group known as “The Alliance”, comes to Sackboy’s rescue saving him from what they call “The Negativitron.”
LittleBigPlanet 3 takes place on a planet in the LittleBigPlanet universe, Bunkum. After unwittingly releasing three evil Titans, Sackboy and his new friends must stop them and the unskilled creator, Newton, from destroying the creative paradise.
Players continue Sackboy’s journey after the events of the second game. The Story Mode features Sackboy racing against The Hoard, which plan to steal the Craftverse’s prizes for “no reason other than to hoard [hold] them.”
As in previous titles in the LittleBigPlanet series, players control a character named Sackboy through a variety of worlds utilising the character’s various abilities such as jumping and grabbing objects.
Living peacefully on a faraway planet, the LocoRoco and their friends, the Mui Mui, help grow vegetation and look after nature, making the planet a pleasant place to be, playing and singing the days away.
Having successfully defeated the Moja Corps, the LocoRoco settle back in their peaceful life. However, Bon Mucho, the Moja Boss, is not willing to accept defeat, so he devises a terrible song that can suck the life force out of living things, as a new attack on the LocoRoco.
A nameless man in a surgical mask (referred to in the game as “You”) has been living in an apartment for an unspecified amount of time after a disease has turned most of the world’s inhabitants into mindless zombie-like monsters. The man is alone and unsure if there are any other survivors.

The goal of Machinarium is to solve a series of puzzles and brain teasers. The puzzles are linked together by an overworld consisting of a traditional “point and click” adventure story.

In 2003 in Carcer City, the story opens with a news anchor reporting on James Earl Cash, a death row prisoner recently executed by a lethal injection. In reality however, Cash awakens to hear a voice coming from an earpiece, revealing his lethal injection was only a sedative.
Escape from the living prison jail in Mary Skelter: nightmares for the PlayStation vita system. The nightmare monster actively stalks the player as you run through the dungeon, so you must use the dungeons’ gimmicks to impede its movements. This dungeon RPG features a turnbased battle system that includes class change, a strategic blood‐licking transform system, and a blood‐rubbing system to power up your party.
Mass Effect: Andromeda begins in 2185, between the events of the second and third games in the original trilogy. The four Citadel Council races are planning to populate new home worlds in the Andromeda Galaxy as part of a strategy called the Andromeda Initiative.
