Players continue Sackboy’s journey after the events of the second game. The Story Mode features Sackboy racing against The Hoard, which plan to steal the Craftverse’s prizes for “no reason other than to hoard [hold] them.”

The story centers around the character created, but is commonly known as Tag and never speaks words in cutscenes throughout the whole game. The story starts with Biff Tradwell and Gary Reasons, reporters for the Modnation Racing Championship (known as the MRC) announcing this year’s tour.

The game starts in a Shipping Harbor in Hong Kong as Wei Shen, along with Naz, met with a drug buyer, while the Hong Kong police are keeping surveillance on them, until the buyer killed a security guard and the police intervened, with Wei arrested.

It includes all the 24 previously released downloadable contents and features improved graphical resolution and gameplay, setting and audiovisual quality changes based on community feedback.
