As a local sheriff takes Lee from Atlanta to a local prison, his cruiser strikes a Walker, sending it off the road, and allowing Lee to escape, whereupon he witnesses the zombie attacks. He takes shelter in a nearby suburban home, finding that young Clementine is hiding there, her parents having gone to Savannah prior to the disaster.
